Colomba

今週末、ヨーロッパでは復活祭(イースター)があります。

イタリアではパスクアって言うみたいです。

This weekend, there is Easter holiday in Europe.

In Italy, it called “Pasqua”.

この時期になると、スーパーやスイーツ屋さんでは

卵やウサギの形をしたチョコレートが店頭に並びます。

そしてイタリアでは、コロンバというケーキ(パン？？)も並びます。

During this time, supermarkets or sweet shops sells

 lots of eggs or rabbits shaped chocolate.

And in Italy, they also sells colomba.

このコロンバ、イタリア特有の食べ物みたいです。

Colomba is Italian special cake for easter.

これがコロンバです！！

This is colomba!!

実はこれ、中身はクリスマスに食べるパネットーネとほぼ一緒！

手抜き？！と一瞬思ってしまいますが…。

これはイタリアのお菓子業界が作り出したものらしいです。

Actually, it's almost like Panettone(Italian christmas cake)!

I thought it is just cutting corners...(Oops! Sorry!)

But actually some sweets industry made it.

ケーキというよりは甘いパンって感じです。

中身はパネットーネとほぼ同じです。

違う部分はこの鳩の形と、

上の部分にアーモンドと粒の砂糖がのっているぐらいかな。

For me, it taste like more bread than cake.

Contents are almost the same as Panettone.

Different parts is the shape of a dove, 

almonds and sugar on top of the cake .

先週、主人の実家にこのコロンバを持って行って、

ちょっと早いけどみんなでいただきました〜♪

Last week, me and my husband went to see his parents.

It was a little bit early but we brought the Colomba and ate with them♪

これ、イタリア人はほんと好きなんだなーって思います。

結構大きいんですが、あっという間に半分ぐらいなくなりました！

I understood how much Italian love it.

It was quite big but it became almost half!

今週末、恐らくまたこのコロンバを食べる事になります。

今度はチョコも持って行って、そっちをたべようかな。w

This weekend, we will probably eat it again.

I might bring chocolate next time.
